'We all have forests on our minds. Forests unexplored, unending. Each one of us gets lost in the forest, every night, alone.'  Ursula K Le Guin,'The Wind's Twelve Quarters'.

Welcome to my website! I am an artist working with digitally edited photographs to create images that probably fit most comfortably within the surrealist tradition. In my work I like to take things that are ignored, abandoned, or neglected – fallen branches, rusting scrap, decaying mushrooms, the contents of my father's shed – and turn them into the strange creatures you see here. I could blather on at length about why I do this and what the works signify – one could start with the titles of the works, Francisco Goya’s title ‘The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters’, Arcimboldo, and the grotesque and often humorous creatures that adorn the corners of elegant medieval churches and manuscripts – but I prefer not to as I want the potential viewer to bring their own perspective to the pieces.

There is further information about my process in the 'about me' section! If you want to buy any images there is a link to my shop here and beneath each individual image.

I hope you find some works here that resonate with you. Any feedback is  much appreciated!
